Madonna Italian Official Charts

In Italy there hasn’t been an official chart (like
Billboard in USA) for a very long time. Only confusion, with weekly
magazines, polls, sounding on retailers, etc.
From 1983, Madonna‘s album & singles began to appear in the charts and I tried to found more official news from my personal charts archives, forums, websites.
So, the charts I refer to, are:
MUSICA&DISCHI (MD): based on selling album & singles from 60′s
FIMI (FM/FN): is the official one (at the moment!) based on selling started in 1995. The single chart from 1997 to 2008 is the same as Sorrisi & Canzoni. From 2012 the single chart is different from Nielsen one, because Fimi uses GFK technology
NIELSEN: from 2012 a new single chart by Nielsen, published on MTV Italia and Billboard
Tv Sorrisi & Canzoni(SC): The charts of TVS&C was very popular in Italy, even if from 80′s to 2009 it was based on sounding on retailers. From 2009 the chart is similar to FIMI, with the difference that TVS&C is a comprehensive album chart (artist, compilation, ost)
[Tv Sorrisi & Canzoni was (and probably is) the best-selling italian weekly magazine. Born in 1952, it began to compile album and single charts from 1971.
The charts reported here between 1983 to 1995 are based on sounding by S&G, becoming very popular because of the high selling of the magazine and a tv show called "Superclassifica Show". Note that the chart for album is a comprehensive chart (artist, compilation and ost)
In 1995 TVS&C changed its methodology using AC Nielsen for the album chart and in 1997 for the singles chart (died in 2008).
In 2009 the last change regards the use of GFK retail and technology, the same as FIMI; but TVs&C maintained a comprehensive chart instead of FIMI.]
HITPARADE (HP): is the first official italian chart on radio rai and then in tv (discoring) and on a weekly magazine (radiocorrieretv).
HITPARADEITALIA.IT: a great italian charts website, collected all the charts and estimate a popular chart, year by year, week by week. It’s not official, but it’s very reliable and useful to understand the popularity of songs and album.
